This Cookie Policy explains how Sacred Emotions (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website sacred-emotions.com (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the website function properly, improve user experience, and provide information to the website owner.

Cookies can be:

• Session cookies (deleted when you close your browser)
• Persistent cookies (stored for a set period or until deleted)

Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage and tracking pixels, work in a comparable way. In this policy, “cookies” covers them too.

2. Types of cookies we use

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Website to function and cannot be switched off. They enable core features such as:

• Booking and checkout functionality
• Remembering your cookie choice, with a random ID, in your browser’s local storage
• The Cloudflare Turnstile security check on our enquiry form, when it is enabled (see section 4)

b) Functional Cookies

These cookies allow the Website to remember your choices (such as language or region) to provide enhanced and more personal features.

c) Analytics / Performance Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Website, such as:

We use this information to improve our Website and Services.

We use Microsoft Clarity, which shows us which pages visitors view, how far they scroll and where they click, as heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity only runs if you accept cookies.

d) Marketing / Advertising Cookies

These cookies may be used to:

• Deliver relevant advertisements
• Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

We use:

• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel
• Google Ads

Both load on every page except our questionnaire (see below), so Google and Meta receive technical data such as your IP address and browser information when a page loads. Until you accept cookies:

• The Meta Pixel doesn’t send Meta any events about your visit, such as page views.
• Google’s tag runs without cookies. It sends Google limited signals, for example that a page was viewed or an enquiry was sent, which Google uses to estimate the results of our ads in aggregate.

If you accept cookies and send us an enquiry, we also share your email address and phone number with Google, and your name, email address and phone number with Meta, so they can tell us which ad led to it.

Our questionnaire

Our questionnaire, “What is your body trying to tell you?” at sacred-emotions.com/quiz, sets no cookies and runs none of the analytics or marketing services above, whatever you chose. It has its own privacy policy, on the questionnaire page.

3. Cookie consent

When you first visit our Website, you will see a cookie banner allowing you to:

• Accept cookies
• Reject non-essential cookies

Rejecting them is as easy as accepting them, and our Website works the same either way. Where required by law (e.g. EU/UK), non-essential cookies are only placed after you give consent. We keep your choice for 12 months, and then ask again.

We also keep a record of each choice you make, with the random ID your browser keeps alongside it, for three years, so that we can show you consented. Our Privacy Policy explains what the record holds.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page except the questionnaire. When you withdraw your consent, we stop these services from using cookies and delete the cookies they stored under our Website’s domain. Withdrawing your consent doesn’t affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies may be placed by third-party services that appear on our Website, such as payment providers, analytics services, and embedded content. On this Website, they are:

• Google Ads: Measures our advertising and shows our ads to previous visitors. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Meta Pixel: Measures our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and shows our ads to previous visitors. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity: Website analytics. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
• Google Maps: The map on our retreats page shows where our retreat is. It loads for every visitor, whether or not you accept cookies. When it loads, Google receives technical data such as your IP address and browser information, and may set its own cookies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Calendly: When you choose “Book a call”, Calendly’s booking window opens on our page. It loads only when you open it. Calendly then receives technical data such as your IP address and browser information, plus the details you enter to book, and may set its own cookies. See the Calendly Privacy Notice.
• Stripe: “Pay deposit” takes you to a checkout page run by Stripe, which processes your payment and may set its own cookies there. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Social media platforms: Our Website links to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. If you follow those links, those platforms may set their own cookies.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: A security check on our enquiry form that verifies a submission comes from a person rather than an automated program. To run the check, Cloudflare may store cookies and similar data (such as local storage) under its own domain, and it processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information. Cloudflare states that this is strictly necessary for detecting and blocking bots and is not used to profile or target you. If your browser blocks it, the form may not work. We do not control these cookies directly. Please refer to the respective third party’s privacy and cookie policies for more information.

5. Managing cookies

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Website. If you clear your browser’s cookies and site data, your cookie choice is deleted too, and we will ask again on your next visit.
